James gained a Masters in Organizational Psychology with Merit from Birkbeck, University of London in 2023. His research dissertation investigated the value of leadership as a transferable skill across different work domains.

Mind, Body and Spirit Techniques to Empower Individuals and Teams
James is also a Level 2 coach in Krav Maga (members of British Martial Arts and Boxing Association) at Crawley Combat Academy, where he now coaches the foundation classes for new learners.
This activity and his military experience has informed much of his understanding of how to manage difficult challenges in business worldwide, and to develop his own blackbelt mindset for life.
He is also a board member of the newly formed Community Interest Company 'The Self Defence Centre' which aims to use self-defence to build self-confidence and develop positive mindsets for disadvantaged groups in our society.
